Meet The Wax Wizard, Nurse Richard

No More Ear Wax was founded by Richard Isherwood. Richard was a district charge nurse for the NHS for over 10 years, he is also an independent nurse prescriber. Amongst his many specialties during his time with the NHS was ear care.

Richard provided ear Irrigation (commonly known as 'syringing' but doesn't use a syringe!) to many patients at clinics based all across Salford. Unfortunately, this service is no longer widely available on the NHS and many patients are left without a service they relied on to maintain their hearing and quality of life. Richard decided to set up his own private clinic to meet the demand for services, and he's also trained in the highly specialised method of Aural Microsuction which is widely accepted as the gold standard and safest way to remove ear wax. Irrigation (syringing) is contraindicated in some patients, therefore, being trained in both means he can cater for all.
